Les Petits Cléments Merlot-Duras, Château Clément-Termes, Côte du Tarn 2020
Jean-Paul and Francois David, Château Clément-Termes, Côte du Tarn
Gaillac is one of the most innovative wine growing areas in France and the range of grape styles is amazing. Chateau Clement Termes was founded in 1868 in the historic bastide town of Montaigut and the wines were originally delivered all over France in oak barrels, the clients being largely composed of churchmen. The Chateau remains in the hands of the David family to this day, and respect for tradition and traditional grape varieties remains undimmed. This is a blend of Merlot and Duras and is fermented in stainless steel tanks for a relatively short 7 days.
A delightful cherry red in colour. Plummy, brambly fruit aromas in the glass. On the palate, chewy with a hint of spice and tart red-cherry flavours.
Grapes: Merlot - Duras
