Casa Cello, Entre-Douro e Minho and Dão

Casa de Cello is a family-run winery that has been making wine in their estates for 4 generations. It was in the 80's that one of the owners, João Pedro Araujo, laid the groundwork of the existing winery by introducing modern viticultural and oenological technologies. Today, Casa de Cello tends 34 hectares of sustainably-farmed vineyards in the regions of Dao, Entre-Douro and Minho producing excellent wines of great value.

Blend of 3 indigenous grapes, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Amarela, it was fermented in stainless steel and no oak has been used. Pair Dao Quinta da Vegia Solo Franco with grilled meat, dark poultry or bean stews.

This is a well-rounded Portuguese red with aromas of dark berries, both fresh and stewed, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, Dao Quinta da Vegia Solo Franco is full-bodied, with grippy tannins and pronounced flavours of berries and spices.

Grapes: Tinta Roriz, Touriga, Tinta Amarela
