Amboise Chenin Blanc "Les Beauvoirs" Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet 2023

Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet, 

Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet is Jean Baptiste Bonnigal and Stéphane Bodet, who jointly took over Bonnigal’s fourth-generation family domaine in Amboise together in 2015. They’ve got quite a few vineyard parcels, spanning a range of varieties and soil types. These include Chenin Blanc (this wine), Côt (Malbec), Sauvignon Blanc and Pineau d’Aunis. Farming is organic/biodynamic. Le Clocher is a plot on a south-facing clay-limestone terroir above the village of Limeray.

Honey and wet stone minerality typical of Chenin’s terroir. On the palate, the wine is dry and crisp, showcasing lively acidity balanced by a textured, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of quince, lemon zest, and almond unfold into a long, mineral-driven finish.
