Situated on the former bed of the Rhône Valley, is the enclosed field of Le Clos Saint-Michel with its twirled vine stocks on a full bed of blond rounded pebbles.

The Estates spirit and its old country house-bastide has not been affected by age. It brings together nearly a century of culture and its inhabitants in a reassuring embrace.

Olivier and Franck Mousset, who represent the fourth generation of wine makers on these grounds, have re-established the profound taste and close union between the vineyards and the winery. Their spirit, their energy, their care may well accompany each plant but also each tank and then each barrel during its daily transformation.

Loyal to the principals which were regulated in 1937 under the “Appelation Controlée” of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, they wanted to recreate a traditional craftsmanship in winery based on a limited production with a high wine concentration and also using the most recent techniques in cultivation and winemaking in a reasoned method.

The wines that they produce, Clos Châteauneuf du Pape Saint Michel, Côtes–du-Rhône Domaine Guy Mousset, Côtes-du-Rhône Village Cuvée les Garrigues and the local wine Vaucluse Domaine de Clairfont , are all products of great quality and often rewarded. For you now to enjoy 

Smoky roasted meat character, black cherries and kirsch, pepper, herbs and glycerin fruit. Rich deep and generous with a compelling sweetness of fruit and a lush pliant texture. Finishes with firm but sweet tannins and a note of dark chocolate.
