When Olivier Leflaive, its founder, talks about the road he has travelled, he describes it as a series of chances and opportunities: the chance to be born into a Burgundy family and the opportunity to discover a life of sharing among great wines; the chance to have experienced the world of music in Paris and the opportunity it gave for some unique encounters; the chance to be in the right place at the right time and the opportunity to create his own wine house. But above all, this opportunity stems from a state of mind: being open to others, and being prepared to welcome into the family, in the broadest sense, all those who wish to join it.

Sous Frétilles would come from "below the small forest". Replanted as a village appellation in the 1970s / 1980s, it was considered one of the best. It obtained its classification as Premier Cru in 2001.

Strong personality for this wine which expresses both all the subtleties of limestone (candied lemon, bergamot, saline and iodine), but also notes of white and fruity flowers (especially citrus).
