Sylvie Vacheron, helped by the gifted Bruno Gaspard, is producing rich and very expressive Châteauneuf du Pape cuvées.

The quality of the estate’s wines has greatly progressed over the past couple of decades, which are now recognised among the best in the appellation. The unsung hero in Le Clos du Caillou’s portfolio is ‘Bouquet des Garrigues’: with the feel and style of a Châteauneuf du Pape, it elevates Côtes du Rhône to a new level.

From organically farmed vineyards bordering Châteauneuf-du-Pape, planted on sandy soils that enhance finesse. Low yields and meticulous vineyard work ensure concentration, while hand harvesting preserves fruit integrity.

A classic blend of Grenache with a touch of Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Fermentation with native yeasts in concrete tanks and stainless steel tanks, followed by gentle ageing in concrete tank to retain brightness and texture.

Juicy and expressive, this Rhône red bursts with aromas of black cherry, wild raspberry, and crushed herbs, lifted by hints of liquorice and garrigue. The palate is supple and rounded, with soft tannins, vibrant fruit, and a peppery, fresh finish.
