Grandes Pagos Gallegos, Ribeira Sacra

Grandes Pagos Gallegos is a project within Ribeira Sacra to produce expressive wines from the three great native Galician white varieties of Treixadura, Albariño and Godello, as well as the best red varieties of Mencía, Caiño, Brancellao and Sousón.

The fruit is responsibly sourced from vineyards in which each variety is most at home – always in historic areas and preferably on hillsides – and is cultivated with utmost respect for the land, Participating wineries include Adgea Ponte da Boga, Quinta Couselo and Fragas do Lecer.

Sourced from organically farmed vineyards in the Ribeiro DO, planted on granite and slate soils that impart freshness and minerality. The vines are managed carefully to maintain low yields and preserve aromatic purity.

Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, with fermentation carried out using native yeasts in stainless steel tanks to retain the wine’s bright fruit and freshness. No oak ageing is used to preserve crispness and varietal character.

Aromas of green apple, citrus zest, and white flowers, complemented by subtle hints of fresh herbs and a delicate minerality. The palate is crisp and balanced, with vibrant acidity and a clean, refreshing finish.

Grapes: 85% Treixadura 8% Godello, 5%, Albarino 2% Loureiro
