Hodgkinson is a boutique family winery in Spain’s Priorat region. Founded in 1972, brothers Caspar, David, and Luca produce low-intervention, certified organic wines. Their flagship Garnacha-based wines, such as Mas del Habanero and Las Panzudas, are celebrated for expressing Priorat’s slate (licorella) soils and natural vibrancy.
Their vineyards are located in the Los Massos area, between Falset and Gratallops, at 450 meters above sea level.
Las Panzudas is an organic, single-varietal Grenache red wine produced in the mountainous Priorat region of Catalonia, Spain. Crafted by the Hodgkinson family, it is naturally fermented and aged for one year in clay amphorae with wild yeasts, yielding a fresh, unfiltered, and sulfite-free profile.
Pure, fruit-forward expression with prominent notes of strawberry and raspberry. Despite Priorat's typical reputation for highly extracted, dense wines, the "Las Panzudas" style is remarkably vibrant, fresh, and vigorous.
