Marjorie Gallet, Espira de l'Agly

Marjorie Gallet is a brilliant winemaker who, in just a few vintages, and with the help of her husband Stéphane, has managed to impose a personal tone on a production made up of a majority of old Grenache and Carignan vines.

Lime zest in the nose, with aromas of parsley, chamomile, and tarragon developing as the wine evolves in the glass. On the palate, the overriding impression is one of restrained, self-confident elegance, with near juicy flavors that echo and magnify the beautiful floral-and-orchard fruit nose; everything generously seasoned with sea salt soaked acidity, and what might be described as delicate peach skin tannin.
